If you license (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC) was issued from May 23, 2018 forward the method used to calculate the expiration date for your initial license period has changed. The expiration date is simply two years in the future on the last day of the month the license was issued. Your month of birth is no longer used for the calculation. The CE requirements have not changed (18 required during first renewal period and 36 required for all subsequent renewals). Here are some examples:
- License Issued: May 31, 2018
- First Renewal: May 31, 2020 (18 CEs required)
- Second Renewal: May 31, 2022 (36 CEs required)
- License Issued: December 15, 2018
- First Renewal: December 31, 2020 (18 CEs required)
- Second Renewal: December 31, 2022(36 CEs required)
